Birth Doula Care

Birth Doula Care package includes:

Initial interview and consultation (free of charge) to talk with each other and decide if I am the right doula for you

Monthly visits throughout pregnancy. We will have time to talk about options and choices in birth, your anticipated needs and desires for support, practical coping strategies for your labor, self-advocacy and communication with your care providers, resources tailored to your needs and interests, and whatever else is on your mind regarding your upcoming birth

24/7 on-call availability beginning when you hire me as your doula. In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your birth, a back-up doula will be available to attend

Early labor support via phone, video, and/or in your home

Continuous active labor support at home, hospital, or birth center

Immediate postpartum care at your place of birth (can include support establishing breastfeeding, bottle feeding support, photography of the first moments with your baby, and getting you settled for your first rest after birth)

1-2 postpartum meetings to process the birth experience, share memories and feelings, and assess the need for further resources

Telephone and text support for the first six weeks postpartum as you navigate baby feeding, family sleep, postpartum recovery, emotional health for the whole family, and accessing community resources for the transition to parenthood

Birth photographs at no additional charge

I offer my birth doula care package at a rate of $1800.

Please see Payment Options and Accessibility below if you are seeking lower-cost birth doula services.

Overnight Care

Overnight care shifts are from eight to twelve hours long, during the hours of 9pm-9am.

I provide overnight care up to five nights a week, and this service can be booked in advance, which guarantees my availability for your family. We can also schedule weekly depending on your needs and my availability.

If you are interested in overnight doula support, we can talk more about the logistics of this type of care and how it works with your chosen method of feeding your baby/ies. I have night time experience with singletons and multiples, bottle fed, breastfed, and combination fed babies, and a variety of parenting styles and philosophies. Please contact me for rates.

Payment Options & Accessibility

I may be able to accommodate a lower fee for birth doula services. Please be in touch to talk about options for payment if a reduced rate or extended payment plan would make doula care accessible for you.

I also offer mentorship to new doulas and can help parents find low-cost or free doula care when needed.

I accept payment by cash, check, and credit card for all doula services. Though there is currently no mandated insurance coverage for doula care, some families use a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account to pay for doula care or submit a receipt to their insurance company to attempt to receive reimbursement. I will provide a receipt upon request if you would like to submit it to your insurance provider.
